Water & Community Health

Clean water is the foundational pillar of community health, yet thousands of rural families face regular water security crises. LivingWellUganda's dedicated Health & Water Directory tracks the deployment of water infrastructure across remote districts.

We audit the viability of borehole programmes, public storage tanks, and school water points funded by mineral operators and non-profits. Our regional bureaus investigate the operational lifetime of these installations, tracking how clean-water access directly reduces local waterborne illness vectors and safeguards public health in vulnerable host communities.

Progress

What is being built

Deep-water boreholes across Busia, storage tanks feeding rural clinics, and school water points that keep girls in classrooms. Burlcore Mining's borehole programme is a flagship case study in operator-funded water access.

Accountability

What we monitor

Yield, uptime and community management of every installation. A borehole that fails within two years is not a success. We publish maintenance status, spare-parts supply and community-committee governance for every site we visit.
